The Shanti Uganda Society is a registered Canadian Charity that improves the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of communities impacted by poverty, HIV/AIDS and war in Uganda. There are over 25 HIV+ women in the Shanti Uganda Women’s Income Generating Group who work together to make colourful recycled paper jewellery and hand bags made from local fabrics. Proceeds go directly to the women and community initiatives that focus on holistic health, birth and sustainable development.
